The Capuchin Walk for the Hungry celebrates 19 years of service this year!

The Capuchin Franciscans have been serving in Wisconsin for over 150 years.

Fr. Mike Bertram, OFM, Capuchin is Capuchin Community Services' Ministry Director. Fr. Mike and the other friars serving at CCS are helping people struggling with poverty, hunger and homelessness. We partner with dozens of faith communities, businesses, schools and groups.

Last year we helped over 85,000 people receive food. Some visited the community's only 5 day per week food pantry at the House of Peace. Others ate at St. Ben's Community Meal. St. Ben's is often referred to as the longest running "pot-luck" dinner in Milwaukee. Guests can receive many other services at the ministry's two sites. Clothing, hygiene supplies, access to safe showers, free laundry services for people who are homeless and eyeglasses are just a few of the services offered.
